(Be sure to read the notes below the table for explanations of the asterisks)
Note: While all scholarships are awarded on a one year basis, some of these players are former walk-ons who are using available scholarships and it is not clear if their scholarships will be renewed during fall camp. Each August, coach Mark Richt awards leftover scholarships to walk-ons. Therefore, one or more of the former scholarship players listed below is/are currently not on scholarship due to the 85 rule, who that is, however, is not being released by UGA.

How To Count Scholarships
For more details on counting scholarships click here.
The maximum number of players currently on athletic scholarship can not exceed 85 at any time. There is no official time this count is taken as it is the maximum at all times.
The maximum number of prospective student athletes a school can sign during the signing period is 25.
Important Date: The First Wednesday in February through April 1st is the signing period in which prospective student athletes who potentially be initial counters for the coming season can sign their national letters of intent.
Important Date: July 1st is the date that SEC schools must submit a roster of returning players who are being awarded an athletic scholarship.
All athletic scholarship are awarded on a one year basis, but, beginning in August 2012, universities can offer guaranteed scholarships for up to four years.
Hardship Waver: Under NCAA bylaw 30.6, a student athlete who has missed two seasons due to medical issues can apply for a sixth year of eligibility. In most cases, this waiver is not applied for until after a student athlete's four years of eligibility is exhausted.
This roster is a work in progress as things change and reflects the arrangement of the players to the best of our knowledge, and only includes scholarship players. Also, it is not automatically updated and must be done so manually based on what we report on UGASports.com.
